From the moment "Sassy Girl" was born she has always loved sleeping on her back...

Went to the Strawberry Festival in Plant City to see "Travis Tritt", he looked and sounded just as good as he did when I saw him 16 years ago in 1993

JD & I spent the entire day in our pj's learning all about out Cricut Expression...

Our first paper piecing using my Cricut Expression...

Great bunch of women and men! Love meeting new people. JD with is first 12x12 completed layout, shadow box frame and all! In memory of Stevie Ray Vaughn...

Attended our first Cricut Swarm in PG Fla, and what a fabulous job Betty Bee did!! Goodie bags were over the top and then there was this sweet 97 year old woman who put us all to shame!! She NEVER stopped working the entire time she was there...

Will add the picture to this post soon, but using the business cards that JD & I created for Ginni for her 365 Yahoo group. She wanted to be able to hand them out at crops.

My favorite station on Sirius satellite is the coffee house...always on in the house on living room computer.

Didn't take a POD today so using a fill in...on of my favorite mottos!

They say that your desktop on your computer says a lot about you so I decided to capture mine and use it in my album. Hm mm....wonder what mine says about me? Would love to hear your thoughts please...
P.S. I put my readers comments on the back of my journal-ling cards...

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY ...
to me!!! My sweetie JD got me the mac daddy camera lense I have dreamed of for sometime now...

Busy, busy month with closing store and my normal stuff going on. I use my PDA but keep this wall calendar for JD to keep him in the know...

"Leyna" had a day at the beauty salon....this is her before pic.

After...with her very favorite groomer in the whole world, Sheri! And to top off being the best at what she does, she even drops "Leyna" off on her way home.

Rode the bike to our usual spaghetti dinner on Wednesday nights. Beautiful night out indeed!

Don't let this sweet innocent face fool you! "Leyna" is the devil of our girls...

Monday night we go to Yoga, and occasionally we will go to this great little Mexican restaurant in Englewood. (I also took a couple incredible pictures of the full moon and will use them as fill in's at some point)

As my comment say's at the top of my photo...."Nothing quite like friendship"

1st 365 gathering was held at Ginni's this weekend, and someone we had been missing dearly was Carol Jones...and now shes back! This is what PURE emotion looks like folks....

Using another picture that was not taken on the correct day but no worries, I only have me to answer to as this album is totally for me!

My family....taken Christmas eve morning.

This picture was actually taken last fall, while we were attending a HUGE car show in Venice. I just happen to really like it so I used it for my picture of the day.

The only affection "Sassy" will show "Leyna" is a good thorough eye cleaning, which "Leyna" tolerates because she so desperately wants "Sassy's" attention!!

Another one given "A Chance at Life"! One of JD's computer customers has been after us to give her "Leyna" ever since we adopted her from poodle rescue a year ago, so we were able to finally convince her to fill out an application on-line with poodle rescue. This little sweetheart was left as a stray at Animal Services in Tampa. How could a human being treat an animal this way is beyond me. JD and I drove to Tampa today and pulled her to bring her back to Venice to meet her potentially new parents.

I didn't take a picture today, so I am going to use the one JD took of his new banner for the computer store. Turned out very nice! Next a wrap for the truck...

We went to Legion with Sal & Sheri. Bandanna was playing (great rock band). Talked about going on a 5 day cruise to the Grand Cay men Island & Ocho Rios in May with the band. Most of their followers are bikers, so it would be a kick ass time...Just in time for my birthday!

This is my adorable hair dresser Michael Lawrence. I have gone to Michael for at least 20 years now. Even when I owned my own salon, I went to Michael. Now I live an hour and 15 minutes away and will still go to him for as long as I can. I LOVE him...

I wanted to take this picture since we moved to North Port, before I ever started this project. I made it a point to stop today on my way home from work...

A month or so ago, our friends Sal & Sheri invited us to dinner at a little mom & pop restaurant right here in North Port called Alvaro's. During our visit there we discovered that on Wednesday nights they had spaghetti for $4.95. Our food and service was impecciable so we decided we would definitely be back to give it a try. They are so sucessful that you always have a 30 minute wait at least, and that's if you can find a parking place.
3 weeks later it has become a ritual meeting for the 4 of us...

JD & I experienced an incredible healing session called the Raindrop Technique on Monday afternoon. It's hard to put into words exactly what we felt and experienced, but we both can tell that something is definitely happening to our bodies!

RAINDROP TECHNIQUE
Raindrop Technique® combines the art of aromatherapy with the techniques of Vita Flex and gentle hand movements in the application of essential oils to various areas of the body. This treatment provides a revolutionary means of bringing balance and harmony to the body - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

    Denita
Who I Am . . . I am a Colorado native, living in Florida (yes by choice) I have lived in Florida since 1985, and I live here now with three dogs, a Umbrella Cockatoo, a couple of ghosts and a complicated beautiful man. I met him on-line, and I love him more everyday. I have white hair that is more beautiful then fresh fallen snow. I can’t stand to wear uncomfortable shoes, but I love to paint my toenails. There are few things as beautiful to me as the musical lilt of mountain speech or the sound of a crying fiddle. I am a proud liberal pro-choice feminist. I am a white person who cares deeply about racial equality. I am a straight person who cares deeply about gay rights. I am spiritual, but not religious. I meditate, study Buddhism, believe in natural medicine, and yes I talk to angels. I believe in hope and transformation. I believe that love is stronger than fear. I believe in the magic that lives between the writer and the reader. I believe in the healing power of creativity. I believe that each one of us on this planet is an artist with a story to tell. I'm telling my story as honestly as I can.
